The new AERUS Z achieves both lightness and stability. With each generation, the AERUS series prides itself on pushing the boundaries of lightness. This new 5th generation model is the lightest ever badminton shoe from Yonex, weighing in at just 240 grams per shoe*. These shoes are slimmed down by adopting a new sole made of Feather Light X, a material that is 12% lighter in weight, while generating more repulsion than the previous AERUS models. A key ingredient to stability is reliable grip. RADIAL BLADE SOLE is implemented to provide ultimate grip.

Shock Absorption
The YONEX Power Cushion absorbs shock then reverses the impact energy for smooth transfer into the next movement.Compared with urethane, the YONEX Power Cushion construction provides 3 times more shock absorbing power. When dropped from 7m above a Power Cushion sheet, an egg will bounce back 4m without damage.

The AERUS Z features a specially shaped wedge of POWER CUSHION+ in the heel designed specifically to absorb shock associated with the footwork of badminton. By improving shock absorption, our POWER CUSHION+ technology transforms impact into energy. A 28%* increase in shock absorption and a 62%** increase in repulsion when compared to the standard EVA materials.
